This week has been a great opportunity to settle into BA3b. Before the end of BA3a I decided to book and prepare for a new show at Nunns yard with fellow collaborator Louise Webb. After the sheer stress of hand in on January the 13th an opportunity to play around with a space and to explore new work created prior to hand in was needed. I booked the space for the 19th of January, it was a one day  pop up video show that ran from 5-8pm. The vent was a great success and the entire week was spent organising the equipment needed in terms of what we need to borrow from the MRC. But also getting the lights out of the studio and into the space a space that comes alive through lighting, generating an entirely new environment in which to work from. It was a great opportunity to test scale and how a space can generate experience, one that engages with the audience, without the strong need apart from the common sense of the individual to worry about health and safety concerns. A space that grew with the work, shifted folded from one space to another. The shop front window opened up a whole new opportunity to let art be seen by any on looker that passed by, we had many gaze upon the work, as the night grew darker the more depth the work created, the greater the contrast between the visuals and the lighting became. It was a great success and generated a new found interest infusing fabric alongside of lights and projection to distort, morph the space to create an even greater visual effect.
