This week has been an exciting and stressful one. Seeing everyones work going up into the space was great and the show is really starting to come together. Both Mine and fellow space collaborator Louise Webbs space was starting to take shape and after many changes in composition and placement, considering the necessity for specific objects in the space we decided that we finally felt comfortable with the outcomes achieved. The space began to feel defined , the monitor was installed and the windows cleaned. All the paint was touched up ready for hand in on Friday. We began on Thursday evening to reflect on our practice considering our differences and why we choose specific works to add to the space, exploring reasons such as scale,Colour, Sculpture and painting as a possible strength and or failure to the success of the work overall. The nature of our space meant that we had to reflect in much more detail considering not just the works that where chosen to display, but also the room itself. The Colour of the walls was very much a part of the work, by defining them as yellow and Purple.  By the end of Thursday afternoon we had shrunk the work down to its bare minimum, taking and replacing elements and objects we felt did not work in the space. Through advice from fellow tutor Craig we where able to make a definitive decision and upon reflection those decision make the other elements in the space stand out more clearly when observing.  Overall the hard work was worth it and I look very much forward to seeing the response from the audience when the degree show finally arrives.
